Many contractors will not accept small projects, so we've made punch list work our focus. No project is too small, but some are too big. Hester Built works evenings and weekends when you are home. Or when your customers and employees are away, causing little to no impact. If you are interested in working together, fill out the "Request an Estimate" form.

Chris is a former high school math teacher and tennis coach of 20 years. He brings the same patience, problem-solving, and reliability to every project he takes on. Chris has 20+ years of hands-on construction experience and currently manages high-end builds across Nashville for a local developer.
Chris started Hester Built in 2023. To keep things simple for his customers, he does all the work. He hires licensed plumbers and electricians when needed. He’s not interested in shortcuts—just solid, honest work that earns your trust.

- It typically takes 24-48 hours to review your project details and reply or call.
- Some estimates can be provided via email but most require a walk-through
- Once the estimate is approved in writing, the project can be scheduled. If the project is small and the proper tools are available, work might be done at the same time as the walk-through.
- There is a $50 deposit to schedule any work projects. Deposits will be applied and deducted from the invoice total.
Due to fluctuations in working costs, all estimates expire in 7 days. Work should be scheduled within 7 working days.
*If material pricing estimates change between the time of receiving the estimate and the time of the work, the customer is responsible for the cost difference.
To cut down on no-shows and cancellations, a deposit is required to secure a project. We understand that you may need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. We will try our best to accomondate a change in date/time within 30 days, but please note our calendars are booked out 30-60 days.
*The deposit will go toward your project and will be deducted from your final bill.
Real estate estimates are non-refundable. We are happy to accommodate competitive estimates for your buyers and sellers, but we can no longer do this for free.
This would be considered a no-show and you’d forfeit your deposit. The deposit would cover mileage and time.
You have 48 hours to change your appointment time. We typically booked 30-60 days out.
Any cancellations forfeit the deposit.
If the home is vacant, you do not have to be at the appointment.
Deposits
Deposits are required to make walk-through appointments.
- Homeowner walk-through estimates cost $50 and are non-refundable. If the work is completed, $50 will be applied toward the invoice total.
- Realtor or Real Estate walk-through estimates cost $150 and are non-refundable. If the work is completed, $150 will be applied toward the invoice total.
Materials
If materials are purchased by Hester Built, material cost is due before the project start and will be billed separately.
Labor
All labor cost under $2,000 will be billed upon completion. Anything over $2,000 will be billed 50% prior to start and 50% upon completion.
*Hester Built does not take on any projects that expand over 3 weeks unless in writing with the customer.
Hester Built accepts cash, payments for Quickbooks, and PayPal payments. PayPal accepts debit, credit, and Venmo.
This is up to the customer and how comfortable the customer is at buying materials. Some customers prefer to buy all the materials, and some are hands-off.
If materials are purchased by Hester Built, material cost is due before the project start and will be billed separately.

All labor cost under $2,000 will be billed upon completion. Anything over $2,000 will be billed 50% prior to start and 50% upon completion.
